NEW Service 为 教师: Writing Consultants’ Feedback on Assignment Prompts/Descriptions
Who Can Use the Service?
教师 成员s who wish to receive student’s 反馈 在他们的 写作 prompts and assignment descriptions.

As students themselves and as consultants who support peers in unpacking 写作 作业, 写作 consultants are well positioned to share the questions that emerge from reading those prompts and from working to clarify and respond 到m. Our hope is by taking up consultants’ questions about the assignment, the 教师 成员 can better anticipate the questions that may come up 为 学生们. We believe that this is especially valuable in an online context where so much of the casual conversations to clarify assignments can be missed.
The goal here is by no means to make an assignment a “stand alone” that can be read and interpreted the same way by students who are taking a course and students who are not. There are questions that might come up 为 the consultants that won’t be at all issues 为 students who are taking the class. In which case, the 教师 成员 can simply dismiss any comments they feel irrelevant 到ir students.
Submission Process
教师 who are interested in 反馈 from a student perspective should fill out this 为m. The assignment is shared anonymously and read by two consultants who will respond to a list of questions regarding the clarity of the prompt, their process of addressing it, its evaluation, 等. In addition, we encourage 教师 to share any specific questions they would like 反馈 on. The consultants will then 提出了 反馈 到 写作 center director or assistant director who would synthesize and organize the 反馈 and provide a confidential response 到 教师 成员. We anticipate our response time to be five business days and we will adjust according 到 demand.

Feedback Focus
Writing consultants will provide 反馈 在他们的 understanding of the assignment’s purpose, 观众, main concepts, visual design, overall clarity, technical logistics about 为mat requirements, submission protocol, evaluation criteria, 等. They will share their questions and suggestions from a student perspective.
